Greetings. After neglecting this page for years I've decided to work on it and overhaul it. I am a graduate of Novi High School(NHS for short). What I did in my senior year was construct a digital year book on CD-ROM; named it Orinoco. I was the chief video editor and have gained extensive experience in Adobe Premiere. Orinoco is the name of a river in South America. I must thank my cousin Jason for mention this page to me. I didn't think anyone looked at it and thus have neglected it.
I had a lot of help from my peer Tom Kepler. I'd have a link to his normal casual web page on RustNet but he no longer has an account with that ISP. Instead he runs a web server for many various clients. And if I can remember how to make a HTML link correctly, this text should be highlighted. His service is called Kepler Internet Solutions, KIS for short. He has many clients on it and he does a very good and honest job maintaining it. He hasn't had that online magazine called MacNow for about a year, he didn't have enough time for it daily and couldn't get much help from volunteers. My friend Steve now has an Internet account through school. In fact I'm the only one with an account on EarthLink still. I may be moving to another one too once my family's subscription runs out at the end of the year. I still have a links page but it's too outdated to want to mention here, bear with me :>
I still have this web page and it serves a good reminder to have a designated driver so I'm leaving it the way it is. This next section probably belongs in some type of a M.A.D.D. or S.A.D.D web page, I typed up this thing though so that it could be on the Internet. I doubt that very many people will even see it. Anyway click here to go directly to the Prom Poem page

I've gotten a PowerCenter150 and an ATI Xclaim VR card and a few other goodies. My sister now uses my old Performa 475 for college and sometimes games. I was into Descent and Descent2 for about a year and then MacQuake came out. My computer is in fact more powerful than my Dads but believe me I use the power. This computer is about the equivalent to a Pentium Pro with MMX technology at about 150 MHz or 133 MHz. Time for some rumor control! MMX is a set of CPU instructions that aid the CPU in multimedia purposes. It allows it to do the same thing but without processing as many lines of CPU instructions. PowerPC processors have had these instructions in their instruction set since 1993 with the original PowerPC 601 CPU. Personally I've found most people including myself very susceptible to propaganda from each computer platform as to which is the best. Right now wintel computers have a superior OS, but they have inferior hardware and just now got 'plugin play' with Win95. CISC is Complex Instruction Set Computer, RISC is Reduced Instruction Set Computer. RISC is usually reserved for high end Silicon Graphics Inc. computers. RISC means the CPU literally processes a little bit less code to do the same thing a CISC processor would do. And it's more expensive to produce CISC because they're simply more complex.
Another fact that Intel doesn't want you to know is most of their technology such as parallel processing is borrowed from RISC CPU technology, ie SGI. Same with out of order execution of instructions. There's also a quicktime movie at Apple that compares an Apple and a wintel with equal hardware power do complex stuff in a data base, the Apple did it three times faster. You'd say I'm a mac fan. I just hate propoganda and want to point out the facts. One other thing to think about, have you ever heard any of this stuff from Intel as to where they got the technology from? And no it can't be patented because it's not really a CPU design but more of a method of how they work. However I think Apple will loose unless they come up with a equal OS to Win95. You can't do much with hardware if you've got no software to run on it.
MPEG and QuickTime is what I'm really into these days. How do you think I got the job as chief video editor for Orinoco? I've digitized several music videos but am currently stopped dead in my tracks because of conflicts occurring while I was upgrading my OS to 7.6. I'd upgrade to OS 8 but it takes too much RAM and when I do video capturing it captures frames to RAM when the HD is too bogged down from frames it's already writing to disk. I'll only upgrade to OS 8 when I have upgraded to about 64 megs of RAM or so. I'll stop talking about technical stuff now. If you want you can check out my other web pages but I don't plan to update them any time soon.
